When Mistakes Get to You

Making Room For God

I cringed as I read through my manuscript.  My published book had so many mistakes in it.  To think that I actually allowed this book to be published with all those errors.  I hope my readers don’t cringe at the grammar errors that occur throughout the story.  Mistake after mistake after mistake.

As I sat back and pondered over my mistakes, I realized that those mistakes are part of me.  I gave my readers an open door into my faith life and allowed them not only to see the achievements that I had made in my life, but also my mistakes; even the mistakes in my own writing.  My life without those mistakes would not be a ground for learning.

Life is a intertwining of mistakes and achievements.  In fact, most of my achievements wouldn’t have been met without those errors.  God used the messes in my life to speak…

Not Who We Are

This is truly who we are

Source of Inspiration

Jealously–let it float away
greed–no need on a summer day
fear–an illusion that fades with time
other days I feel just fine

Emotions come and go
feel them, observe them
let them go, for truly
they do not define
who you are

Rather go within
find this soul that
is pure love waiting
to be set free

This is the you
our Creator made
unique, a part of the Divine
a soul that lasts
throughout all time

I am suspended
in a gelatinous world
where I am connected
to all yet in control
of nothing

Pushed and pulled
from all directions
I feel helpless
but at the same time
enormously strong
for I am part of
the Divine Matrix
your strength is mine

We need only to move
together in this
life-filled matrix
to accomplish all our dreams

Suspended without time
in a world we call
God, Creator, Spirit, Allah

Win through your Actions, Never through Argument

Any momentary triumph you think gained through argument is really a Pyrrhic victory: The resentment and ill will you stir up is stronger and lasts longer than any momentary change of opinion. It is much more powerful to get others to agree with you through your actions, without saying a word. Demonstrate, do not explicate.

How to Live a Happy Married Life.

It can be easy to have a fun and romantic courtship period, but you may worry that your marriage won’t last once the initial spark has died down. However, if you want to live a happy married life, then you have to work on keeping the romance alive and on continuing to grow—both with your partner and as an individual. Though it’s not always easy, you can make your marriage thrive if you and your partner are willing to put in the effort.

1.Respect your spouse.
If you want to have a healthy marriage, then you have to make your spouse feel like your equal and take his feelings into account whenever you’re making a decision or just going about your day. If you treat your spouse like his opinions don’t really matter or like you always have the final say, then you’re bound to have an imbalance in your marriage. Make sure that you give your spouse’s views the same seriousness that you give your own and that you take the time to listen to your spouse and make him feel like you care.1072468_605518496155214_793593471_o

2. Work to be kind, loving, and understanding to your spouse.
If you’re having a bad day and snap at him, make sure you apologize; give him the basic respect he deserves instead of thinking you can do whatever you want because you’re married.
You should also respect your spouse’s privacy. Don’t go snooping through his phone or computer if you expect him to feel respected.
