We all wants to live a happy life. We want a great job and a successful business. We want to be married and have great kids. We want friends who stick by us come rain or shine. We want material things that life has to offer and want all our problems disappear. Everybody wishes for good life at different levels, but we all define a good life in different ways and we all want it stress free. Unfortunately that is what is also stopping some of us from having that great life. The thought of all that work, all that planning, over coming hurdles and resistance is enough to make some of us give up. Is just too hard we seems to say.
Is it just difficult? Your boss will not always be the nicest person in the world. Your job will have challenges that you did not foresee. Your spouse will sometimes be a pain. You won’t always get your salary and recognition that you want and deserve. And your client may not be the nicest people in the world. Your kids won’t always be the ideal kids you want them to be. Your spouse may not be as perfect as you thought they were when you married them- infact I can guarantee you they are not. You may not be the perfect wife or husband you once thought you were. I am not saying that you are not justified in feeling the way you feel. But that’s ok. Its normal. That’s what being human is all about and that’s what life is all about. You make mistakes just like everyone else and you are not perfect just like everyone else, but you can make it better.
That is one of the beautiful things about life. You can make your life better. You have total responsibility for what you do and how you respond to the fact that life is not easy. If life hands you Lemons, make Lemonade out of it. You have the ability, responsibility and power to make it better. You can make it better. You can have a good job, raise better kids, gain promotions, have a happier home, become the good husband and wife you would want your spouse to be and earn more money.. You see the only person you have to control is yourself. You can not change people. Whatever the case may be, the truth is that you will always have a choice. Yes! You always have a choice.
No matter what situation you are in, you have a choice. No matter how bad things are, you have a choice. No matter what you think you can or can not do, you have a choice. And it may not be an easy choice by any means and it may push you way out of your comfort zone. But its a choice, nonetheless. Lot of times you will find that the choices are not as hard as you thought they were. You may have shut off your mind from seeing those choices and possibilities because you thought you had no choice. But the responsibility will always be yours to open your mind to the things you want out of life. That you have a choice to either become rich or poor. Success is a place and poverty is a place both on planet earth but the choice is yours to make and the consequences of making the wrong choice is also yours. So be careful on the choices you make and how you live your life.
May God in His infinite mercy and wisdom always lead us to make the right choices in our lives IJN, Amen.
